Monica M. Mlinac is the Director of Program Development for OhioGuidestone. Monica has been employed by OhioGuidestone since 1993, after graduating from the University of Akron with a Master of Arts in Education and Community Counseling. She began her career at OhioGuidestone as an In-Home Therapist, providing treatment for individuals, couples and families through chemical dependency screening, crisis management and parent education. During her tenure Monica has helped to develop and administer numerous new behavioral health programs in Cuyahoga, Stark and Summit Counties. Currently, as the Director of Program Development, Monica oversees Stark, Summit, and Portage County programming and has contracted funding in Summit County to serve individuals who have been victimized by human trafficking.
Monica is also a graduate of the Summit County Child and Family Leadership Exchange Program and is currently a Marriage and Family Therapist Supervisor for the University of Akron. She has received multiple awards from OhioGuidestone, including the Safety Award, Entrepreneurship Award and most recently, the CEO Award for Outstanding Leadership. Monica volunteers at Hospice of Western Reserve and, in her free time, enjoys gardening, yoga, singing and spending time with her family and friends.
